Lazy Dog Restaurants, LLC is a family-run group of restaurants based out of Southern California. We have quickly grown throughout the country and are committed to providing an excellent culinary experience, warm small-town hospitality, and exceptional service to our guests.

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and drive our restaurant's success. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating a fun working environment, a never-settling outlook, and excellent leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the quality of food preparation and service, food appearance, and cleanliness and sanitation of production and service areas/equipment.
- Conduct line checks, tasks lists, and sanitize walk-throughs utilizing food safety programs.
- Oversee product purchasing and manage the culinary budget.
- Drive a culture of building sales through great execution and building profits by focusing on the details.
- Motivate the team through praise and recognition.
- Ensure teammates have the proper tools to succeed.
- Identify talent within and outside of the restaurant.
- Hire, develop, evaluate, and performance manage the culinary team.
- Maintain a budgeted food cost and daily/weekly inventory levels.
- Create teammate schedules while adhering to forecasting and budgeting guidelines.
- Address difficult situations and guest complaints through effective communication.
Requirements
- 3 years of experience as an Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager with high-volume experience.
- Prior full-service kitchen background.
- Strong developmental and cross-training abilities with a prior record of success developing entire teams.
- ServSafe certification is preferred.
