Europa Village Winery and Resort is a unique destination in Wine Country, offering an authentic Old World European experience characterized by exceptional service. Our Bolero Restaurante invites guests on a culinary adventure through Spain, featuring a menu that honors the age-old tradition of sharing tapas-style dishes.


We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of diverse cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment, alongside a proven track record in kitchen and staff management. Familiarity with Spanish cuisine is advantageous.


Reporting Structure:
  • Reports to the Executive Chef

Key Responsibilities:
  • Embody and promote the core values of Europa Village.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to innovate menu offerings in response to seasonal changes and guest preferences.
  • Design food presentations that harmonize visual appeal with flavor.
  • Prepare high-quality dishes that meet our culinary standards.
  • Ensure efficient kitchen operations to uphold Europa Village's quality benchmarks.
  • Assist in the recruitment and training of the culinary team, evaluating their performance.
  • Oversee kitchen operations and the culinary team in the Executive Chef's absence.
  • Support the culinary and service teams with tasks such as line cooking, food prep, plating, and execution.
  • Help create the weekly work schedule for the culinary staff.
  • Address guest concerns and issues promptly.
  • Develop tasting menus for special events hosted at Europa Village.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place orders as necessary.
  • Comply with sanitation and safety regulations.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Foster a collaborative environment by assisting colleagues and guests readily.
  • Be prepared to stand for extended periods during shifts.
  • Effectively communicate the story of Europa Village.
  • Treat all team members and guests with respect.
  • Arrive at work in a clean, pressed uniform and appropriate footwear.
  • Be punctual and adhere to attendance policies.
  • Follow Europa Village's policies and procedures.
  • Exhibit hospitality, a welcoming attitude, and a willingness to assist as needed.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
