Position Overview

As an Electrical Engineer II at PacifiCorp, you will be an integral part of our dynamic engineering team, focusing on renewable energy solutions, particularly in hydroelectric power generation, along with contributions to solar and wind projects. Your work will span across multiple states, providing opportunities to engage with diverse engineering challenges.


Key Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough analyses of system designs and implementing modifications as necessary.
  • Preparing detailed studies and data for cost estimations and technical analyses.
  • Executing performance tests on equipment and overseeing the installation and inspection of new systems.
  • Performing site inspections to ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulations.
  • Designing and developing systems and processes that align with corporate objectives.
  • Leading the development of moderately complex engineering documents, including plans, specifications, and performance assessments.
  • Providing guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
  • Recommending innovative engineering solutions to meet business needs.
  • Managing external engineering services to ensure project completion.
  • Analyzing and refining engineering methodologies.

Senior Engineer Responsibilities

In addition to the above, as a Senior Engineer, you will:

  • Act as a subject matter expert, mentoring junior staff and leading project teams.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Senior II Engineer Responsibilities

As a Senior II Engineer, your role will further include:

  • Developing highly complex engineering studies and documentation.

Qualifications

To be considered for the Electrical Engineer II position, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in electrical engineering.
  • Fundamental knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in using computer software and engineering tools.

For the Senior Engineer role, candidates should have:

  • At least five years of experience in industrial or utility power systems.
  • Demonstrated project management and leadership capabilities.

For the Senior II Engineer position, candidates must have:

  • An advanced technical degree or a Professional Engineer (PE) license, or eight years of relevant experience.
