Position Overview

PacifiCorp is in search of skilled candidates dedicated to fostering a culture of customer service excellence, environmental sustainability, and inclusivity.

Role Summary

As part of our dynamic engineering team, you will engage in electrical engineering projects focused on renewable energy sources, primarily hydroelectric power, while also incorporating solar and wind technologies. This role involves working in diverse and picturesque locations across multiple states.

Your responsibilities will encompass the development of engineering studies, design specifications, calculations, and performance evaluations related to the planning, design, and maintenance of various utility facilities and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze system designs and modifications.
  • Conduct limited scope studies and prepare cost estimations.
  • Perform equipment tests and oversee the installation of new systems.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards through site inspections.
  • Design and modify systems to align with company objectives.
  • Guide junior engineers and technicians in project execution.
  • Deliver results while managing external engineering services.
Qualifications

For the Engineer II role, candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience in electrical engineering.
  • Basic knowledge of engineering principles and applicable regulations.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.

For the Senior Engineer role, additional qualifications include:

  • At least five years of experience in industrial or utility power systems.
  • Proven project management and leadership capabilities.

For the Senior II Engineer role, candidates should have:

  • An advanced technical degree or a Professional Engineer (PE) license, or eight years of relevant experience.
  • Expertise in engineering principles within the specialty area.
