Role Overview:

We are seeking a qualified Field/Tunnel Engineer with expertise in heavy civil and underground construction. The ideal candidate will have experience in site work, utilities, excavation, and various tunneling methods. This role is essential for ensuring the successful execution of projects at our construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the review of project plans and development of project submittals and work plans.
  • Monitor and oversee field operations, including utilities and tunnel excavation.
  • Conduct field layout and measurement tasks.
  • Track project quantities and ensure quality control.
  • Prepare daily reports and communicate ongoing progress and issues to the team.
  • Provide managerial guidance to enhance cost performance and address critical site issues.
  • Ensure construction activities comply with quality, technology, and safety standards.
  • Observe daily operations, identify areas for improvement, and propose alternative solutions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
  • 0-5 years of relevant experience in tunneling or civil engineering.


Skills:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and other relevant software.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Solid understanding of heavy civil construction principles and ability to interpret plans and specifications.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies.


Additional Requirements:
  • Willingness to work after hours, weekends, and be on call as needed.
  • Able to work on outdoor construction sites.
  • Capability to lift up to 40 lbs.
