Position: Wind Energy Siting Specialist
Location: Portland, OR

Job Summary:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop tailored technical and commercial solutions for Wind Power Systems to support business development initiatives.
- Gather project inputs and constraints, define project scope for Global Siting, and deliver comprehensive results.
- Create project-specific siting solutions to enhance project value while mitigating risks.
- Leverage knowledge of turbine technology and regional wind conditions to provide expert support to stakeholders.
- Identify market trends and requirements to inform product and process development.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with clients and their consultants.
- Facilitate effective communication between Sales, Technical Sales, Clients, Independent Engineers, and Central VPS Functions.
- Promote knowledge sharing and collaboration across regional and Global Siting teams through mentoring and open communication.
- Develop tools and collaborate on projects utilizing siting data to generate value.
- Participate in special projects or tasks as needed, including support for auctions and market intelligence initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Renewable Engineering, or a related certification with 3-5 years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in the wind energy sector is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in computer applications and industry-specific software, including WAsP and WindPRO, is preferred.
- Familiarity with aero-elastic modeling tools for wind energy applications is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and methodical skills are essential.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with strong customer service abilities, are required for collaboration with clients and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Strong teamwork capabilities.
- Willingness to travel as necessary to meet customer needs and company objectives.
- Knowledge of meteorology is preferred.
- Understanding of sales and marketing processes is a plus.
