Job Summary:

As a Lactation Consultant Nurse at LifeBridge Health, you will play a vital role in coordinating lactation management activities and providing skilled nursing care to patients and family members. Your expertise will be essential in initial and ongoing lactation education for obstetrical staff and other healthcare team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate lactation management activities and provide skilled nursing care to patients and family members.
  • Develop and implement lactation education programs for obstetrical staff and other healthcare team members.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive care for patients with lactation-related issues.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in lactation management and breastfeeding support.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from a CCNE-accredited school.
  • 2 years of experience in maternal newborn care.
  • IBCLC certification or Breastfeeding Counselor certification with intent to test for IBCLC.
  • Maryland Registered Nurse License.
  • American Heart Association BLS Certification.
  • 3-5 years of nursing experience.
