Patient Access Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to join our team at Carle Health. As a Patient Access Representative, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient registration process for patients arriving at our emergency room. Your primary focus will be on obtaining accurate and complete registration information, verifying insurance details, and authorizing necessary treatments.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately and efficiently complete patient registration for new and existing patients.
- Check patients in upon their arrival for scheduled appointments and facilitate up-front collection of co-payments.
- Receives all incoming telephone calls and provides exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
- Understand and utilize computer applications common to the desk areas to ensure seamless registration and scheduling processes.
- Act as a patient advocate at all times, ensuring their needs are met and their concerns are addressed.
- Participate in project planning for the department and perform specialized tasks consistently, suggesting ways to improve processes.
To be successful in this role, you must possess strong communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment. You should also be able to prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
