Job Overview

As a key member of our team, the Application Support Specialist 2 will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our banking software applications. This position is designed for individuals who thrive in a dynamic environment and possess a strong technical background.

Key Responsibilities:

System Support (75%):

  • Deliver comprehensive end-user support for banking software applications through various channels including phone and email.
  • Monitor the daily functionality of banking software, addressing user inquiries and resolving issues by consulting technical documentation or collaborating with users.
  • Lead cross-departmental initiatives to facilitate effective implementation and ongoing support, prioritizing customer needs and requests for enhancements.
  • Manage escalated support tickets from frontline staff, conducting thorough research before liaising with vendor support when necessary.
  • Execute change management requests, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures while adapting company policies that impact operations.
  • Investigate and analyze both basic and complex organizational issues, recommending improvements to processes and practices, and communicating changes effectively.
  • Provide troubleshooting and develop technical solutions for software-related challenges, creating alternative procedures when standard methods are ineffective.

Systems Analysis & Projects (25%):

  • Act as a project implementer for small to medium-sized initiatives, ensuring consistent and successful project delivery.
  • Engage with clients to assess their information processing needs and adapt pre-existing application packages to suit their environment.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of banking software applications and stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Oversee the testing, maintenance, and monitoring of computer and application server systems, coordinating installations as needed.
  • Adhere to all relevant bank policies, laws, and regulations, completing compliance training and following internal processes.
  • Report any compliance issues or violations in accordance with established protocols.
  • Regular attendance is essential for this role.
  • Perform additional job-related duties or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in Loan Origination, Operations, Servicing, or Training.
  • Certification as an nCino Commercial Loan Origination System Administrator is required within 18 months of employment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, along with experience in financial systems software.
  • Ability to comprehend complex business and technical concepts.
  • Experience in vendor management related to support and issue escalation.

Working Conditions:

This position primarily involves indoor work, with occasional exposure to outdoor elements. Responsibilities may require occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds and may involve after-hours or weekend work. This role offers a hybrid work-from-home opportunity upon successful completion of onboarding.
