Position Overview

As a Software Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be an integral part of an Agile development team, collaborating closely with fellow QA professionals to ensure the quality of our software solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of various testing methodologies, including Integrated, Component, Functional, and User Acceptance Testing, enabling them to design and execute comprehensive test plans and deliver critical testing outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and Agile team members to identify and implement suitable testing strategies for software projects and defect resolution.
  • Develop test cases that align with QA department standards and best practices.
  • Apply testing principles related to Integrated, Component, Functional, and User Acceptance Testing.
  • Identify and document bugs and defects during Functional and Regression Testing cycles.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Agile/SAFE methodologies.
  • Accept additional projects and assignments as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 2 years of applicable experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in QA and/or software development, utilizing industry-standard processes, including customer-facing projects.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Familiarity with the Mortgage Industry and its associated processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Mortgage Director software is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Zephyr for JIRA, a test management solution, is a plus.
