Position Objective:

The Lead Financial Analyst will report directly to the Finance Director and will play a crucial role in delivering analytical support for both personnel and non-personnel expenditures, with a particular emphasis on workforce analysis. Key responsibilities include analyzing financial performance and headcount metrics, executing essential tasks related to financial closing and forecasting, as well as driving process enhancements.

  • Collaborate with various departments on expense-related matters, focusing primarily on personnel expenses and headcount details within the technology and Managed Services teams.
  • Assist in the development of annual and multi-year strategic financial plans.
  • Analyze transactions and expense data to provide actionable insights, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and profit enhancement through data analytics and automation.
  • Review ledger entries to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards and practices.
  • Work alongside business segments to conduct in-depth financial analyses, identifying key drivers, trends, variances, emerging risks, and opportunities; regularly communicate findings to senior management through concise and impactful reporting that informs decision-making.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses to support operational and financial management initiatives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with General Ledger software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in Excel-based financial modeling and financial planning and analysis.
  • Prior experience in the software development or financial services sectors is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Dynamics is a plus.

Additional Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess significant expertise in Excel-based financial modeling and financial planning and analysis.

  • Strong organizational skills, particularly attention to detail, and the ability to produce reports efficiently.
  • Capability to examine and verify financial documents and reports, along with proficiency in analyzing and interpreting financial data.
  • Aptitude for transforming raw data into meaningful and impactful analyses.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to prepare business cases as necessary to support a growing technology enterprise.
