Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Epic Associate Systems Analyst to join our team at Bryan Health. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, testing, and implementing healthcare and business-related computer systems.

Key Responsibilities
  1. System Analysis and Design: Analyze system needs, translate identified needs into functional and technical specifications, and make recommendations for developing technology solutions to resolve application process challenges/problems.
  2. Application Development and Maintenance: Develop, modify, and maintain application processes and technologies, utilizing software tools proprietary to the applications as appropriate.
  3. Customer Relationship Management: Establish and maintain professional relationships with internal and external customers to enhance their experiences with Bryan Health System technology and computer systems.
  4. Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot computer issues, to include processes/workflow, hardware and software related problems; resolve internal and external customers incidents according to established service level agreements.
  5. Documentation and Training: Recommend updates to system documentation to describe system processes, installation and operating procedures for systems, training material and updates manuals as appropriate.
  6. Testing and Quality Assurance: Apply standard testing methodology to the review and testing of new and modified systems with detailed testing scripts; obtain approval and signoff of testing from customer.
  7. Continuous Improvement: Commit to the continuous improvement of the patient experience, which includes patient safety, quality of care and excellent service.
  8. Team Collaboration: Participate in an On Point rotation to provide consistent and timely support to internal and external customers; collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine processes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of operations, workflow, and processes related to specific areas of application support.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware equipment and software applications relevant to work functions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of personnel and medical staff.
  • Ability to work independently or as a team member as situations dictate.
  • Ability to adapt to and effectively perform work functions in emergency and high stress situations.
  • Ability to support multiple applications or modules and multiple operational groups.
  • Ability to analyze problems, identify needs/priorities/risks, manage change and implement effective work strategies.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality relevant to sensitive information.
  • Ability to prioritize work demands and work with minimal supervision.
Education and Experience

We require an Associate or technical degree in an information technology area of study, a medical, allied health area of study (e.g. nursing, radiology, laboratory), or business area of study (finance, information management). Epic certification is also required. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
