We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Home Warranty Associate to join our team at Meritage Homes. As a key member of our warranty team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and support throughout the warranty process.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise Warranty-Service Work: Oversee the warranty-service work of laborers and sub-contractors at multiple home sites within a community.
- Ensure Quality Standards: Verify that all building codes and Meritage Home standards of quality are met during warranty repairs, and resolve quality control issues as they arise.
- Participate in Customer Satisfaction Process: Participate in the 10-step AVID-Customer Satisfaction process in assigned communities.
- Assist with Inspection Process: Assist with the inspection process, conducting walk-through inspections and other scheduled inspections with homeowners.
- Manage Customer Expectations: Manage customer expectations during the construction process through homeowner orientation.
- Interact with Various Departments: Interact daily with various departments of the company, subcontractors, homebuyers, homeowners, and city inspectors.
- Manage Warranty Claims: Manage assigned warranty claims in an organized and methodical manner.
- Manage Paperwork Flow: Manage paperwork flow, including updating reports, tracking customer sign-offs, etc.
- Manage Warranty Reports: Manage warranty reports to ensure prompt and professional service to our homeowners.
- Interpret Warranty Claims: Interpret warranty claims versus the Meritage warranty manual.
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Coursework or a degree in Construction Management is preferred.
- Experience: At least one year of construction experience with some supervisory or project oversight experience is preferred.
- Advanced Training: Advanced training in one or more trades within the residential building industry is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of homebuilding and construction systems/processes, building codes, and Register of Contractor Standards (ROC) is required.
- Blueprint Reading: Must be able to read blueprints to maintain quality control and inspect all aspects of construction.
- Software Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Knowledge of Hyphen is a plus.
- Transportation: Ability to operate an automobile, have a valid state driver's license, and personal vehicle liability insurance coverage to meet the standards set by Meritage Homes.
