Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Grocery Stocker to join our team at Lowes Foods. As a Grocery Stocker, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our grocery department is well-stocked and visually appealing for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stocking and Merchandising: Receive, stock, and rotate merchandise on shelves according to Lowes Foods standards and productivity guidelines.
  • Guest Service: Provide polite, friendly interactions with all guests and co-workers, maintaining a positive and welcoming store environment.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain organized, inventoried backstock in the backroom area, minimizing damage and shrink through proper inventory control and rotation of shelves and overstock.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Maintain sanitation standards on the sales floor and in the backroom area, ensuring a clean and safe working environment for guests and employees.
  • Communication: Communicate temperature problems to supervisor (dairy and frozen food) and perform front-end duties as necessary to ensure a seamless shopping experience.
  • Ordering and Receiving: Order product for aisles (as assigned by management) and assist with unloading and verifying merchandise upon delivery to the store.
Requirements
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 40 lbs. constantly and 60 lbs. occasionally, as well as bend, kneel, stand, push/pull stock carts, and operate pallet jack for extended periods of time.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication and guest service skills, with the ability to read and understand information and direction.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work well with others, demonstrating a friendly, outgoing personality and a willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
