Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Grocery Stocker Lead to join our team at W. Lee Flowers. As a key member of our grocery department, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our department operates efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional guest service and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
  • Stock, rotate, and condition all grocery products on shelves according to company standards and productivity guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area to ensure a positive shopping experience for our guests.
  • Organize and inventory backstock in the backroom area to minimize damage and shrink.
  • Assist with unloading and verifying merchandise upon delivery to the store.
  • Maintain sanitation standards on the sales floor and in the backroom area.
  • Communicate temperature problems to management (dairy and frozen food).
  • Perform front-end duties as necessary to ensure a seamless shopping experience.
  • Assist with grocery department inventory and work with management to meet guest demand for grocery items.
  • Order and merchandise all ad items to maximize sales and profits.
Requirements
  • Friendly and outgoing personality with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with others and lift 40 lbs. constantly, 60 lbs. occasionally.
  • Ability to read and understand information and direction.
  • Knowledge of grocery operations and ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
  • Effective communication and guest service skills.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, stand, push/pull stock carts, and operate a pallet jack for extended periods of time.
