Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Service: Provide polite, friendly interactions with all guests and co-workers, maintaining a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the store.
  • Inventory Management: Stock, rotate, and condition all grocery products on shelves according to Lowes Foods standards and productivity guidelines, ensuring that products are easily accessible and visually appealing.
  • Backroom Organization: Maintain organized, inventoried backstock in the backroom area, minimizing damage and shrink through proper inventory control and rotation of shelves and overstock.
  • Sanitation and Safety: Maintain sanitation standards on the sales floor and in the backroom area, ensuring a clean and safe environment for guests and employees.
  • Communication: Communicate temperature problems to supervisor (dairy and frozen food) and perform front-end duties as necessary to ensure a seamless shopping experience.
  • Ordering and Receiving: Order product for aisles (as assigned by management) and assist with unloading and verifying merchandise upon delivery to the store.
Requirements
  • Personality and Skills: Friendly, outgoing personality, ability to work well with others, and effective communication and guest service skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 40 lbs. constantly and 60 lbs. occasionally, bend, kneel, stand, push/pull stock carts, and operate pallet jack for extended periods of time.
  • Knowledge and Abilities: Knowledge of grocery operations, ability to read and understand information and direction, and demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
