Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated Production Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This role will play a crucial part in bringing our digital fabrication capabilities to life, focusing on the handling and assembly of materials in both metal and wood. You will experience a variety of daily tasks with a diverse range of products to be produced. Collaboration with manufacturing and engineering teams will be essential to ensure the final product meets the high standards expected by our discerning clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently operate CNC metal and woodworking machinery, overseeing the flow of materials and conducting real-time inspections of parts.
  • Perform the final assembly of bespoke wood and metal products, applying standardized processes to unique configurations while demonstrating meticulous craftsmanship.
  • Prepare and package products to facilitate a smooth installation experience for customers.
  • Actively uphold product quality and safety standards, addressing any concerns and having the authority to halt production if necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including routine maintenance of production areas.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of work instructions to ensure accuracy during production runs and the introduction of new products and features.
  • Monitor material usage and submit replenishment requests as needed.
  • Collaborate with engineering to enhance workstations, mobile platforms, and fixtures to optimize the safe and efficient processing of materials and products.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with basic computer applications, including the Microsoft Office suite or equivalent.
  • Ability to quickly learn new skills and adapt to changing environments.
  • Commitment to safe working practices with hand tools, power tools, and industrial equipment, along with a willingness to promote safety among peers.
  • Interest in architectural materials, particularly wood and metal.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced setting and contribute effectively to team efforts.
  • Capability to regularly lift and move materials weighing up to 75 lbs and to position oneself and tools in various workspaces.

Work Environment: This is a full-time hourly position with opportunities for overtime.
