OPPORTUNITY

As the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Edgility Consulting, you will report directly to the Board of Directors and collaborate closely with them. We seek a strategic, innovative, and culturally aware leader with a proven track record in nonprofit management and a passion for social justice. The CEO will oversee the strategic and operational aspects of the organization, ensuring the sustainability and growth of our programs and culture.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in fundraising from diverse sources, including high-level donors and foundations. A commitment to fostering an inclusive culture that promotes transparency and collaboration is essential. Strong operational and financial leadership skills are required, along with the ability to build impactful partnerships and programs.

The next CEO should embody a deep commitment to Edgility Consulting's mission and values, and be motivated to engage with the organization's culture, operations, and strategic objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities of the Chief Executive Officer include:
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and articulate a clear vision for the future of Edgility Consulting, executing the goals outlined in our strategic plan to enhance our mission and ensure long-term success. Collaborate with teams to refine and improve programs for greater impact.
  • Resource Development: Lead initiatives to diversify and increase funding and partnership opportunities, maintaining strong relationships with current funders while exploring new avenues for financial sustainability.
  • Financial Management: Ensure the fiscal health of the organization through effective budget management, financial forecasting, and strategic planning. Monitor financial performance and implement controls to protect organizational assets.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary ambassador for Edgility Consulting, enhancing our visibility and reputation in advocacy and policy spaces. Build partnerships and represent the organization in public forums and events.
  • Human Capital Leadership: Oversee a high-performing team, fostering an environment of equity and diversity. Evaluate and enhance organizational infrastructure to support staff and operational effectiveness.

Year-One Priorities for the new Chief Executive Officer:
  • Listening and Learning: Gain a comprehensive understanding of Edgility Consulting's operations, staff, and external stakeholders while fostering an inclusive community.
  • Fundraising and Visibility: Strengthen relationships with existing supporters and develop strategies to secure new funding opportunities.
  • Internal Resilience: Implement a sustainable leadership structure and operational plan to support growth and stability.
  • Program Expansion: Assess current programs and explore innovative approaches to enhance impact and align with strategic goals.
QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate for the Chief Executive Officer position will possess:
  • Emotional Intelligence: A compassionate leader who values diverse perspectives and fosters inclusive dialogue.
  • Sector Experience: Background in humanitarian or social justice fields, with a deep understanding of challenges in supporting children affected by trafficking.
  • People Leadership: Ability to inspire and motivate teams, promoting a sense of belonging and collaboration.
  • Operational Leadership: Experience in nonprofit budget management and navigating remote leadership effectively.
  • Transition Management: Proven ability to lead organizations through change with foresight and clear communication.

  • External Relations: Strong public speaking skills and experience in raising an organization's profile within the community.
