Position Overview: Experienced RN – Interventional Radiology
Duke University Health System is seeking a Clinical Nurse (RN) who is passionate about our mission of Transforming Lives Transforming Care.
- Work Schedule: Five 8-hour shifts per week (day shift only), with no holidays, weekends, or on-call duties.
- Focus: Emphasis on low-risk procedures within this setting.
Department Profile:
As part of the Ambulatory Interventional Radiology team at Duke Radiology, you will work in a newly established facility that offers interventional procedures in a comfortable outpatient environment. Your role will include providing moderate sedation, monitoring, and specialized care during procedures such as central line placements. You will also engage in pre- and post-procedural education and support, ensuring comprehensive care for our patients.
Preferred Qualifications:
Applicants with prior acute care experience, particularly in Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, or Vascular Interventional Radiology, are highly encouraged to apply.
Shift Details:
This position requires five 8-hour shifts per week (day shift only). Orientation in Vascular Interventional Radiology may be necessary to prepare for the role.
As a Clinical Nurse at Duke University Health System, your priority will be to provide exceptional service while caring for patients holistically. You will be responsible for both direct and indirect nursing care, utilizing the nursing process to achieve departmental goals. Participation in educational activities, departmental committees, and research projects is encouraged.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience is preferred; at least one year of experience as a registered nurse is required for a CN2 role.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required, with a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
Licensure and Certification:
- Current registration with the North Carolina State Board of Nursing or compact RN licensure.
- BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- Professional specialty certification is preferred.
