Advanced Practice Provider

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a key member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide high-quality, cost-effective care to patients within your scope of practice in collaboration with a supervising physician.
Responsibilities- Clinical: Obtain relevant health and medical history, perform thorough physical assessments, review and interpret pertinent diagnostic tests/results. Develop appropriate differential diagnoses, treatment plans, and prescribe/order evidence-based pharmacological agents consistent with departmental guidelines and privileging.
- Education: Educate clients and/or families regarding medical conditions, treatment, and follow-up. Collaborate with clinicians, staff, and students to promote continuity and patient-centered care. Develop educational materials and provide instruction to physicians, house staff, nursing, ancillaries, and/or students.
- Leadership: Provide instruction, precepting, shadowing, lectures, training classes, CE, rounds, morning report, and/or staff meetings. Participate in community/network outreach programs and develop/lead community/network outreach programs.
- Professionalism: Interact with patients and families in a respectful, courteous, and timely fashion using appropriate communication for the patient and situation. Collaborate with coworkers, other team members, and staff in a respectful, courteous, and timely fashion.
- Quality/Research: Engage in daily continuous quality improvement by identifying and implementing processes for improvement. Consult with management in assessment, problem-solving, decision-making, and evaluating clinical/system issues and models of care.
- Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
- Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (i.e., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Certified Nurse Midwife) in the state of North Carolina.
- Board certification if required by the Department. DEA.
This is a full-time position with a standard work schedule of 40 hours per week. The work assignment type is onsite, and the location of the job is in Chapel Hill, NC.
