Advanced Practice Provider

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a key member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide high-quality, cost-effective care to patients within your scope of practice in collaboration with a supervising physician.
Responsibilities- Clinical: Obtain relevant health and medical history, perform thorough physical assessments, review and interpret diagnostic tests/results, develop treatment plans, and prescribe/order evidence-based pharmacological agents.
- Education: Educate clients and/or families regarding medical conditions, treatment, and follow-up, collaborate with clinicians and staff to promote continuity and patient-centered care, and develop educational materials.
- Leadership: Provide instruction to physicians, house staff, nursing, ancillaries, and/or students, participate in community/network outreach programs, and develop/lead community/network outreach programs.
- Professionalism: Interact with patients and families in a respectful, courteous, and timely fashion, interact collaboratively with coworkers and other team members, and respond quickly to meet customer needs and resolve problems.
- Quality/Research: Engage in daily continuous quality improvement, consult with management, lead interdisciplinary teams, and develop new clinical programs or services to improve patient care.
- Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
- Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (i.e., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Certified Nurse Midwife) in the state of North Carolina.
- Board certification if required by the Department.
- Demonstrated clinical competency, effective leadership skills, strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, and effective written and verbal communication skills.
This is a full-time position with a standard work schedule of 40 hours per week. The work assignment type is onsite, and the location of the job is in Chapel Hill, NC.
