Job Title: Advanced Practice Provider

UNC Health Care is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide high-quality, cost-effective care to patients within your scope of practice in collaboration with a supervising physician.

Responsibilities:
  • See child abuse consultation patients on the inpatient and outpatient services of the Children's Hospital as well as the UNC Jaycee Burn Center
  • Coordinate patient care and hand-offs with pediatric and surgical attendings, fellows and residents
  • Document consult notes on consult team patients
  • Organize a weekly case conference with other members of the child maltreatment consultation team
  • Serve as an expert witness in juvenile and criminal court hearings
Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program
  • Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (i.e., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, Certified Nurse Midwife) in the state of North Carolina
  • Board certification if required by the Department
  • DEA

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position with a standard work schedule of 40 hours per week. The work assignment type is onsite, and the location of the job is UNC Faculty Physicians, Pediatrics Hospital Contracts, US:NC:Chapel Hill.
