As the Logistics Operations Supervisor, you will manage several key areas essential for the seamless operation of our services. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Engaging with customers, suppliers, and team members to ensure commitments are fulfilled
  • Understanding and implementing GXO's quality standards; developing procedures to maintain quality goals
  • Offering guidance to supervisors regarding personnel, quality, and safety matters
  • Recruiting, training, developing, and evaluating staff effectively
  • Proposing initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
  • Managing equipment and coordinating maintenance needs with the maintenance team
  • Ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely report completion
  • Upholding and enforcing all safety protocols, ensuring compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other relevant regulations

Requirements for success at GXO:

At a minimum, you will need:

  • 4 years of relevant professional experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and familiarity with computerized scanning equipment
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule as necessary, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may involve weekends

It would be advantageous if you also possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related discipline
  • 4 years of managerial or supervisory experience
  • Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment
  • Knowledge and experience in Lean, Six Sigma, and Continuous Process Improvement methodologies
  • Background in warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL)
  • Capability to maintain a safe working environment by monitoring and enforcing safety procedures across all departments
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and skills in statistical analysis

This position requires the ability to:

  • Lift items of various shapes, sizes, and weights
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Reach (including overhead), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, and kneel
  • Tolerate varying warehouse temperatures
