Typical Work Schedule:
1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
As the Logistics Operations Supervisor, you will manage several key functions essential for the seamless operation of our services. Your expertise and extensive experience will be pivotal in championing our core values, ensuring a motivated workforce, dedicated clientele, efficient processes, and a promising future for both yourself and GXO Logistics.

Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with clients, suppliers, and team members to ensure fulfillment of customer obligations.
- Understand and implement GXO's quality standards; develop procedures to achieve quality goals.
- Guide supervisors regarding personnel management, quality assurance, and safety protocols.
- Recruit, train, develop, and evaluate staff effectively.
- Propose initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage equipment and coordinate maintenance requirements with the maintenance team.
- Ensure proper record-keeping and timely report generation.
- Enforce safe work practices, ensuring compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other relevant regulations.
Qualifications for Success at GXO:
To be considered, you will need:
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and familiarity with computerized scanning equipment.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule as required, including both planned and unplanned overtime, which may involve weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related discipline.
- 4 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
- Experience in an AS9100 or ISO-certified environment.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and Continuous Process Improvement methodologies.
- Experience in warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL).
- Ability to maintain a safe working environment by monitoring and enforcing safety standards across all departments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift various objects of differing shapes, sizes, and weights.
- Capability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
- Ability to reach (including overhead), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat, and kneel.
- Tolerance for varying warehouse temperatures.
