HR Operations Specialist

About Us:
Union Square Hospitality Group is a prominent player in the hospitality sector, seeking a dedicated Human Resources Coordinator to enhance our team. This position is essential for delivering HR assistance related to onboarding, employee engagement, compliance, and various other functions. The HR Coordinator will be pivotal in reflecting our organizational culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct training sessions for staff on compliance and employee engagement matters
- Support HR programs focused on Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging
- Oversee employee training and professional development initiatives
- Assist in the administration of weekly payroll activities
- Provide insights on company policies and operational practices
- Keep abreast of employment legislation and regulations
- Create communications for compliance initiatives
- Update management on changes in laws and practices
Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in Human Resources
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related discipline is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HR Information Systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with employment laws and regulations
- Team-oriented with a strong sense of organizational awareness
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus
