Job Overview

The Licensed Behavioral Analyst (LBA) plays a crucial role in the Harc Inc. Birth to Three initiative, dedicated to addressing the behavioral, developmental, and communicative needs of children from birth to three years old, particularly those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The LBA is also involved in programs tailored for infants and toddlers facing significant mental health and behavioral challenges.

The LBA is responsible for conducting comprehensive evaluations and formulating behavioral intervention plans, treatment strategies, and data collection methodologies, all within a coaching framework to ensure the effective application of evidence-based practices (EBP).

All interventions are delivered in natural settings, seamlessly integrated into the child's daily routines and activities, whether at home, in childcare facilities, or community environments. The LBA will provide necessary support and training for team members, including the child's family, and will actively participate in staff meetings and collaborative team discussions as required.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments.

2. Design and implement individualized programs.

3. Oversee program effectiveness through data collection and analysis.

4. Deliver direct and/or consultative services to children and their families.

5. Utilize coaching techniques to facilitate the successful application of evidence-based practices (EBP).

6. Provide training and support for team members, staff, parents, and caregivers as necessary.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Create tailored programs for children based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.

2. Implement various strategies such as Pivotal Response Training, Discrete Trial Training, Token Economy, and Activity Schedules as appropriate.

3. Conduct assessments including VB MAPP, ABBLS-R, AFLS, etc.

4. Develop data collection systems to track children's progress.

5. Formulate treatment plans for the children.

6. Prepare reports detailing children's status and progress.

7. Offer in-service training for interdisciplinary team colleagues as needed.

Qualifications:

1. Master’s or Doctorate degree in behavior analysis, psychology, special education, or a related human services field with a focus on behavior analysis.

2. BCBA Certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.

3. Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

4. Consistent attendance and punctuality with minimal unscheduled absences are essential.

Physical Requirements:

1. The role involves active work, ranging from light to moderate physical demands, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

2. Capability to operate standard office equipment.

3. Proficiency in completing substantial amounts of computer screen work and data entry without restrictions.
