Licensed Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Psychologist to join our team at Connecticut Children's. As a key member of our clinical services team, you will provide a full range of psychological services to children and their families, including consultation, individual, group, and family therapy.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical Services: Provide direct clinical services to patients and families, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Consultation and Collaboration: Consult with multidisciplinary teams to optimize medical and psychological care, and collaborate with community agencies and mental health care providers to facilitate comprehensive services.
- Education and Training: Supervise graduate psychology practicum students, pre-doctoral interns, and postdoctoral fellows, and provide teaching and training opportunities to medical students and pediatric residents.
- Research and Quality Improvement: Participate in clinical research activities, including quality improvement initiatives, to advance the field of pediatric psychology.
- Education: Doctoral degree in Psychology/Clinical Psychology/School Psychology/Counseling Psychology, with completion of an APA-approved internship and postdoctoral fellowship or one year of supervised experience in a treatment setting for children and adolescents.
- License and Certification: Licensure by the Connecticut State Department of Public Health as a Psychologist, and CPR certification within 60 days of hire and renewed every 2 years.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of theories, principles, techniques, and practices of psychotherapy and behavior change, human development, child and adolescent psychopathology and diagnosis, and clinical and behavioral presentation of children with emotional disturbance and developmental disabilities.
- Skills: Effective oral and written communication skills, mental health/psychosocial/psychological assessment skills, individual, group, and family psychotherapy skills, behavior modification and behavior assessment skills, and consultation and teaming skills.
