Position Overview:
This role is designated for a flexible position within the Air Combat Command. This position guarantees no minimum hours but allows for a maximum of 40 hours per week without benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepares a variety of specialty beverages in a dedicated coffee service environment. Operates high-quality espresso machines and grinds fresh coffee beans.

Prepares beverages by adjusting the grind size, measuring the coffee dose, tamping the grounds, and ensuring optimal extraction.

Completes non-alcoholic specialty drinks based on customer preferences and established recipes. Drinks may include, but are not limited to, cappuccinos, brewed coffees, lattes, espressos, hot chocolate, frappuccinos, etc. Adjusts recipes as necessary to accommodate customer requests.

Also serves a range of mixed (non-alcoholic) beverages such as iced coffees, fruit smoothies, and more by selecting appropriate ingredients and adhering to recipes.

May serve alcoholic beverages like beer upon request. Prepares and serves a variety of food items such as sandwiches, cookies, muffins, and pastries. Directly interacts with customers, processes payments, operates the cash register, and provides change. Maintains equipment in optimal condition by following cleaning protocols and sanitation standards. May be responsible for opening and closing the facility. 2. Organizes the work area for efficient operations and manages cash handling. Ensures cleanliness and organization of the work area. Sets up and cleans tables for patrons and replenishes condiment supplies as needed. Operates dishwashing equipment, performs routine maintenance, and cleans glassware, dishes, and utensils as required.

Engages in thorough cleaning tasks as necessary, including coffee machines, ceilings, and areas behind equipment, as well as sanitizing waste containers.

May assist in unloading and organizing stock deliveries. Collects and disposes of trash from the work area. 3. Aids in inventory management and identifies items for restocking. May prepare documentation for cash accountability. 4.

Independently completes assigned tasks following initial instructions, with guidance from a supervisor who evaluates performance and is available for questions and resolution of customer issues.

Work is assessed based on adherence to supervisor's instructions regarding work sequence, procedures, methods, and deadlines. 5. Performs additional related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
Requires continual standing and walking, along with frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting.

Regularly lifts or moves items weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted, and occasionally handles heavier items with assistance.


Qualifications:
Open to all applicants. Candidates will be evaluated based on their qualifications and relevant experience.

Experience in specialty coffee preparation or related activities is essential. Knowledge of various drink recipes, coffee beans, and teas typically served in a specialty coffee setting is required.

Must demonstrate proficiency in safely operating equipment such as espresso machines and memorizing drink recipes. Candidates should be able to follow oral and written instructions, work safely, and perform basic arithmetic. Must be capable of frequently lifting objects weighing up to 40 pounds and maintaining physical activity for extended periods. Must obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and complete food handler training. A satisfactory pre-employment physical and background investigation is required.

Applicants must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements for this position. U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three or more consecutive years prior to federal employment are eligible. Male applicants born after a certain date must be registered for Selective Service. Direct deposit is mandatory. Successful completion of an employment verification check is required. A probationary period may be necessary.
