Position Overview:
The Barista plays a crucial role in the café environment, responsible for processing payments for food and beverages while ensuring accurate change is provided to guests and colleagues. This position also involves assisting the Host/Hostess in greeting and seating guests promptly, as well as supporting servers as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
Employees are expected to maintain a high level of attentiveness, friendliness, and courtesy towards all guests, managers, and fellow employees.
* Adhere to hotel standards and regulations to promote safe and efficient operations.
* Handle monetary transactions, including collecting payments and providing correct change.
* Operate the designated credit card processing machine.
* Prepare end-of-shift cashier reports.
* Distribute tips to servers and service attendants as applicable.
* Execute opening and closing duties according to the established checklist.
* Remain attentive to guests' needs to ensure a pleasant dining experience.
* Answer phone calls in accordance with established standards.
* Communicate effectively and courteously over the phone.
* Assist servers and host/hostess in serving guests as required.
* Ensure cleanliness and presentation of menus.
* Strive for overall guest satisfaction.

Qualifications:
* High School diploma or equivalent preferred, along with relevant experience in hospitality or a related field.
* Flexibility to work long hours as needed.
* Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 pounds frequently.
* Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employees and guests in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
* Strong listening skills to understand and address concerns raised by guests and employees.
* Approach all interactions with guests and colleagues in a courteous and service-oriented manner.
* Attend all required meetings and training sessions.
* Maintain regular attendance in compliance with hotel standards.
* Uphold high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and nametag.
* Comply with hotel standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient operations.
* Focus on productivity, identify issues, and assist in implementing solutions.
* Ability to comprehend and apply complex information from various sources to achieve objectives.
* Willingness to cross-train in other hotel-related areas.
* Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
* Show initiative by anticipating guest or operational needs.
* Perform additional duties as requested by management.
* Maintain a friendly and welcoming demeanor at all times.
