Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Vice President of Development. This executive position will provide leadership and strategic vision for all aspects of fundraising, donor engagement, business development, and volunteerism for United Way of Weld County.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and strategic vision for fundraising, donor engagement, business development, and volunteerism.
  • Establish, deepen, and grow major individual, business, and corporate relationships.
  • Employ new and innovative engagement approaches, including corporate social responsibility and leadership giving strategies.
  • Lead donor relations and volunteers in implementing annual plans and making course corrections when required.
  • Supervise the entire Philanthropy team, including fundraising managers and a data specialist.
  • Develop, lead, mentor, and provide supervision for Philanthropy staff, maximizing and empowering the team to develop and implement growth objectives and strategies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • Minimum of 5 years of fundraising experience in a corporate or nonprofit organization.
  • At least 7 years of management experience, with at least 5 years at the senior leadership level managing teams.
  • Proven ability to engage, inspire, and influence corporate leaders and executives and high net worth individuals.
  • Strategic, visionary thinker.
  • Organizational skills, detail-oriented, attention to deadlines.
  • Self-motivated; proven excellent performance standards and quality of work.
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
