Position Overview

This role is for an RF Validation Engineer within Skyworks' Design Center. You will collaborate with a distinguished team of RF experts to develop technology for next-generation cellular devices and various wireless communication applications.

As part of a multi-disciplinary team, you will engage in the development of Power Amplifiers (PA), RF switches, Low Noise Amplifiers (LNA), and front-end modules tailored for the high-volume cellular handset market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a diverse team of designers to support integrated front-end module designs.
  • Coordinate with various engineering teams to characterize front-end modules from initial design through to high-volume production.
  • Utilize strong communication skills to effectively convey complex problems, set priorities, and report progress.
  • Create test files for component and die-level verification using proprietary software.
  • Work alongside test engineering teams to develop and troubleshoot test stations for various challenges.
  • Understand register maps and translate them into functional logic states.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of RF systems and familiarity with wireless standards such as 3GPP cellular, LTE, WiFi, GPS, and Bluetooth.
  • Solid grasp of device and process technologies, as well as experience in system architecture and circuit topology.
  • Experience in front-end module product development and customer engagement.
  • Familiarity with acoustic filters, including SAW and BAW filters.
  • Proficient in circuit simulation tools and automated data analysis using programming languages.
  • Knowledge of lab instruments such as Network Analyzers and Spectrum Analyzers.

Compensation and Benefits

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $74,800 - $135,400 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience, skills, and business needs.
