Administrative Support Specialist III

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Administrative Support Specialist III to join our team at the City of Fredericksburg Department of Social Services. As a key member of our staff, you will provide administrative support to our department staff by performing a variety of general administrative duties.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Attend FDSS Board meetings and take minutes
* Prepare meeting packets and correspond with members
* Assist the CSA Coordinator in preparing for FAPT and CPMT meetings
* Serve as the back-up screener for benefit program eligibility determination
* Update agency documents and answer phone calls
* Assist the front office staff as needed
* Schedule interviews and perform various other office tasks

**Requirements:**

* High school diploma or GED
* Three (3) years of administrative and clerical experience
* Must be able to pass a criminal background check
* Valid state driver's license

**Preferred Qualifications:**

* Experience working for a LDSS
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office software
* Ability to speak a language other than English
* Certification as a Notary Public or ability to obtain such within three (3) months of hire
