Your Role and Responsibilities:

The Technical Support Specialist is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the company's technical systems, ensuring that all employees have the necessary tools to perform their tasks effectively while safeguarding critical information. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing IT support requests and resolving all technical issues faced by end-users.
  • Facilitating the onboarding and offboarding of users.
  • Installing and upgrading hardware components.
  • Setting up software and hardware configurations.
  • Assisting with network administration and managing inventory.
  • Providing daily support for Lab Lynx requests and LIMS projects.
  • Educating colleagues on network security and best practices for technology use.
  • Maintaining comprehensive documentation, manuals, and knowledge bases, as well as conducting end-user training on network security.
  • Consulting with Tentamus North America laboratories to address their daily IT challenges.

Position Type & Work Schedule:

Full-Time | Hybrid | Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM | Occasional weekends as necessary.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must be authorized to work in the United States without restrictions and possess at least a high school diploma. An Associate degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field is preferred. Additional qualifications include:

  • 1 - 2 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., A+, etc.).
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Professional and personable demeanor.
  • Experience in desktop, helpdesk, and mobile device support.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft and open-source office applications.
