Position Overview

The primary objective of this role is to enhance and oversee the operational processes related to Finance Data and Systems. The incumbent will ensure that the anticipated outcomes are achieved and consistently improved upon.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Executive Decision-Making: Facilitate informed decision-making across various business units and functions.
  • Program Management: Plan, execute, and manage finance-related programs and projects within the organization.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with multiple departments to analyze business needs and ensure alignment of financial initiatives with business goals and regulatory standards.
  • Data Safeguarding: Protect Finance data, systems, and procedures by articulating clear Finance requirements to project teams implementing new systems.
  • Project Support: Organize and assist in project-related activities to ensure Finance objectives are met.
  • Integration Tracking: Define, monitor, and communicate integration progress to key stakeholders and leadership.
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of departmental processes and procedures.
  • Stakeholder Support: Aid internal stakeholders in achieving both long-term and short-term performance objectives.
Internal and External Collaboration

This role requires a collaborative approach with Finance Data and Systems leadership, the Finance & Accounting team, Corporate Finance, and local teams, focusing on optimizing business performance through effective partnerships with internal clients.

What You Will Do
  • Lead initiatives aimed at continuous improvement within Finance.
  • Manage programs and projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
  • Develop, monitor, and report on budgets for programs and projects, anticipating future financial needs and resource allocations.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and escalate significant process gaps to leadership, proposing actionable resolutions.
  • Identify potential risks and formulate strategies to mitigate them, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Assist leadership in identifying actionable financial and operational plans to rectify process deficiencies.
  • Ensure that financial operations are executed in alignment with the company's objectives.
  • Act as a trusted consultant to manage projects and drive initiatives across multiple teams.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, executives, and external partners to provide updates and gather requirements.
  • Collaborate with operational support teams to train employees in meeting client demands.
  • Recommend and implement processes and tools to enhance departmental efficiency.
  • Continuously assess and refine financial processes, systems, and controls to boost efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Support business leaders in decision-making and articulate analysis results to non-technical audiences.
  • Partner with resources to develop and maintain a repository for Finance process documentation.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, dashboards, and presentations to senior management, emphasizing key insights and performance metrics.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in business, finance, data analytics, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Project Management or related roles.
  • Experience in Portfolio and Program Management of Process and IT-related initiatives.
  • Proven ability to solicit business requirements and perform process mapping.
  • 3-4 years of experience in broad finance roles, encompassing both financial and management accounting.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies.
  • Strong organizational skills and a focus on delivery.
  • Effective communication and writing skills, with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Capability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
  • Technical acumen and comfort discussing technical integration topics.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and take initiative when opportunities arise.
