Position Summary:

The Financial Manager acts as the key connection between financial shared services and the various department heads within the property. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and quality of monthly financial reports generated by the financial shared services team. The Financial Manager also holds leadership responsibilities to guarantee that all departments meet their Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the main point of contact between financial shared services and property department heads, ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Review and assess the quality and accuracy of monthly financial statements produced by financial shared services, collaborating with department heads to provide constructive feedback.
  • Oversee the accounting clerk team and manage daily interactions with financial shared services.
  • Supervise the count team and receiving/warehousing teams, ensuring efficient operations.
  • Prepare and submit all financial documentation required under gaming regulations or as requested by regulatory authorities.
  • Act as the primary contact for gaming regulatory audits, providing necessary information to regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure all regulatory and state-specific notices received by the property are communicated to financial shared services.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities for staff members.
  • Foster effective communication and strong relationships with internal customers, ensuring their needs are consistently met.
  • Conduct all functions with the utmost integrity and adhere to safety procedures.
  • Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred; substantial relevant experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a similar accounting/finance role is required.
  • Proficiency in various software applications, including Microsoft Office and gaming-related systems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary certifications and licenses as mandated by local gaming regulations.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and public presentation skills, with a proven ability to handle situations professionally.
  • Demonstrated initiative and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • A strong team player with a direct approach and a focus on solutions.
  • CPA certification is preferred.
