Position Overview

As a Registered Nurse in our Hospice Inpatient unit, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate care to patients at the end of life. This full-time position on the 3rd shift offers an opportunity to work alongside a dedicated team focused on delivering exceptional hospice services.

Key Responsibilities

- Assess patient conditions and comfort levels, effectively communicating any changes to the healthcare team, family members, and caregivers.
- Develop, implement, and adjust personalized care plans to manage discomfort and ensure symptom relief.
- Administer medications and treatments while collaborating with the Interdisciplinary Group for comprehensive care planning.
- Provide specialized hospice training to staff, families, and caregivers to enhance patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about disease processes and offer emotional support throughout the care journey.
- Supervise LPNs and support staff, maintaining open communication with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Build trusting relationships with patients and families while ensuring timely documentation of care provided.

Qualifications

- Current RN licensure in Michigan.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in med/surg, acute care, or skilled nursing settings.
- Previous hospice or hospital experience is preferred.
- A genuine passion for hospice nursing and patient care.
