About the Role

At Faith Hospice, we are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our inpatient hospice care team. As a Hospice Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals and their families during a challenging time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient conditions and comfort, communicating changes to physicians, family, and caregivers
  • Implement and revise individualized care plans, managing discomfort and providing symptom relief
  • Administer medication, perform treatments, and coordinate with the Interdisciplinary Group for care planning
  • Deliver specialized hospice training to staff, family, and caregivers for optimal patient care
  • Educate patients and families on disease processes and provide emotional support
  • Supervise LPNs and paraprofessionals, maintaining communication with physicians and other disciplines
  • Build trusting relationships and complete required documentation promptly
Work Schedule

This part-time position requires working 16 hours per pay period on 2nd shift (2:30-11pm). The schedule includes working Thursdays in Week 1 and Fridays in Week 2, with opportunities for pick-up pay for extra shifts.

Requirements
  • RN licensure in Michigan
  • At least 2 years of med/surg, acute care, or skilled nursing experience
  • Hospice and/or hospital experience preferred
  • Passion for hospice nursing
