Job Summary:

Catholic Health Initiatives is seeking a skilled Chemical Dependency Counselor to join our team. As a Chemical Dependency Counselor, you will provide individual, family, and group sessions for clients and their families who suffer from substance abuse and/or dependency.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides individual, family, and group sessions for clients and their families who suffer from substance abuse and/or dependency.
  • Implements assessments, treatment plans, and discharge plans on all clients assigned to their caseload.
  • Actively communicates with referral sources to secure ongoing services for clients preparing to discharge from current levels of care.
  • Works primarily with adolescent, adult, and geriatric clients.

Requirements:

  • Requires the knowledge of counseling substance abusers equivalent to completing a Masters degree in the Human Services Field and/or PLADC/LADC (Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor).
  • Requires licensure as a mental health practitioner: PLMHP/LMHP and/or PLADC/LADC. Dual licensure is preferred.
