Methadone Counselor

We are seeking a highly skilled Methadone Counselor to join our team at Northwell Health. As a key member of our addiction treatment team, you will provide comprehensive counseling services to patients struggling with opioid addiction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions to patients and their families
• Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans to address patient needs
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Document patient interactions and treatment outcomes

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
• CASAC-T certification required; CASAC certification within 3 years of hire
• Minimum 1 year experience in chemical dependency, behavioral healthcare, or social services
