Job Title: Licensed Mental Health Counselor

Job Summary: Christopher's Reason is seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor to provide clinical support, counseling, and guidance for individuals in recovery. The ideal candidate will have experience in substance use disorder or mental health counseling and possess excellent communication, organizational, and clinical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions to clients managing substance use disorders.
  • Conduct clinical assessments to determine clients' treatment needs and goals.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in alignment with OASAS regulations.
  • Facilitate therapeutic groups to promote resilience, coping skills, and relapse prevention.
  • Coordinate care with medical and peer support staff, ensuring a comprehensive approach to treatment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and timely progress notes in compliance with state and facility standards.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications:

  • LMHC, Licensed Mental Health Counselor
  • MHC-LP, Mental Health Counselor Limited Permit
  • Master's Degree
  • Experience in substance use disorder or mental health counseling preferred
  • Maintain excellent punctuality and dependability skills
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practices in substance use disorder treatment
  • Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills
  • Compassionate and client-centered approach to care
