Overview:

Hitachi Energy Transformers - Business Solutions IT Organization is in search of a dedicated Factory IT Solutions Manager to oversee comprehensive service delivery at the site, aiming to enhance value and drive business expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

As the Site IT Solutions Manager, you will be tasked with developing and delivering tailored IT Solutions and Services, collaborating closely with Site Business Unit leaders, application owners, and IT stakeholders on technology-related matters.

Your role encompasses ensuring the effective delivery of all IT infrastructure and applications at the site, alongside managing ticketing systems and escalations.

You will serve as the primary escalation point and will be accountable for maintaining local business relationships concerning IT service performance. Your responsibilities include gathering requirements for new and enhanced IT services and ensuring overall satisfaction with IT offerings.

In this capacity, you will lead site IT professionals, manage vendor partnerships, and ensure adherence to service delivery protocols to achieve organizational goals.

Your Duties Include:

  • Leading the Site IT team and resources at the factory or Hitachi Energy location.
  • Acting as the main contact for IT suppliers and CDC teams regarding IT matters.
  • Overseeing Ticket Management, Ticket Triage, and Escalation processes.
  • Providing on-site infrastructure support and delivery.
  • Maintaining governance and security measures at the site.
  • Collecting and managing business requirements for the factory or office.
  • Managing IT Build project initiatives.
  • Offering first-line support and governance for applications.
  • Ensuring operational management of IT/OT Cybersecurity for OT assets.
  • Responding promptly to cybersecurity emergencies.
  • Planning and managing the IT budget and cost control for the factory or site.
  • Ensuring machine connectivity with core network switches.
  • Coordinating with vendors on specific applications and network connectivity (PLC programming excluded).
  • Facilitating access to essential applications for the factory or Hitachi Energy site.
  • Ensuring proper organization, staffing, skill development, and direction of the area of responsibility, in collaboration with HR.
  • Guiding, motivating, and developing both direct and indirect reports within HR policies for mutual benefit.
  • Working full-time on-site at the assigned factory or location.
  • Embodying Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which entails taking responsibility for your actions while caring for colleagues and the business.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred, or a minimum of 10 years of experience in Information Systems.
  • Must possess work authorization to be employed by Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • At least 5 years of prior experience in IT.
  • Fluent in English with good proficiency in the local language of the primary country of responsibility.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing complex global projects.
  • Experience in process management, business process improvement, or value stream mapping.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing operations methods, processes, and change management is advantageous.
  • Proficient in navigating complex stakeholder scenarios and cross-functional problem-solving, with a solid understanding of IT procedures and policies, as well as end-to-end business processes.
  • Ability to manage multiple shifts of IT resources in a factory setting.
