POSITION OVERVIEW
The Welding Technical Training Instructor is accountable for delivering industry-standard education and training to students at the Career Technical Training Center, facilitating pathways to gainful employment, further education, or advanced skill development. This role requires maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information and ensuring the integrity of student records.
MANAGEMENT & SUPERVISION

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
o Adheres to all integrity protocols and procedures, ensuring the accuracy of student data.
o Strives to meet or surpass performance benchmarks set by the DOL/Company.
o Provides students with training that culminates in Career Technical Training completion and recognized industry certifications. Offers personalized case management to support student progress, success, and completion of the program.
o Delivers high-quality technical training that facilitates student job placement. Assists students with job leads and tracks the placement of graduates.
o Maintains an organized and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning. Enforces the Center's dress code and behavioral standards.
o Produces quality work and assignments in a timely and accurate manner.
o Upholds personal attendance, accountability, and productivity standards.
o Plans and organizes tasks effectively to achieve established objectives and deadlines.
o Applies job knowledge to fulfill all required responsibilities efficiently, while proactively maintaining necessary skills.
o Mentors and exemplifies the Career Success Standards as outlined by the PRH.

o Provides exemplary supervision and management for the student body. Takes prompt and appropriate action to positively influence student behavior, demonstrating respect and accountability.
o Ensures the delivery of quality programs and services to students, continuously seeking improvements to meet their needs.
o Communicates ideas and information clearly and concisely, contributing meaningfully to group efforts with relevant insights. Supplies timely information to DOL/Company as required.
o Effectively articulates thoughts and ideas, identifies issues, analyzes causes, and evaluates solutions before taking or recommending actions. Follows up to ensure timely resolution of problems.
o Collaborates with staff across all departments to guarantee effective supervision and services for students.
o Accepts guidance and direction from the Center Director/Center Duty Officer/Shift Manager, including temporary assignments in other departments.
o Performs additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
A minimum of one year of experience in teaching or a related field is required. Must be certified, licensed, or accredited in the state where the center operates, or recognized by a professional trade organization. For NTC, instructors must be certified by a union or trade organization, or by a national trade certifying body. Previous experience with Job Corps is preferred. A valid Driver's License is required, along with meeting company insurability standards.
Physical demands include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching. Must demonstrate the ability to lift 40 pounds and assess lifting loads to request assistance as needed (depending on the trade).
