Key Responsibilities:

As the Site IT Solutions Specialist, you will be tasked with developing and delivering tailored IT Solutions/Services, collaborating closely with Site Business Unit leaders, application owners, and IT stakeholders on various IT-related matters.

Your role encompasses ensuring the provision of all necessary IT infrastructure and applications at the site, along with managing ticketing systems and escalations effectively.

You will serve as the primary escalation point and will be accountable for managing local business relationships concerning IT service performance. Your responsibilities include aggregating demands for new and enhanced IT services required by the business and ensuring overall satisfaction with IT offerings.

In this capacity, you will lead a team of site IT professionals, manage vendor partnerships, and ensure adherence to service delivery processes and procedures to align with organizational goals.

Your Duties Include:

  • Leading the Site IT team/resources at the factory or Hitachi Energy location.
  • Acting as a liaison for IT suppliers and CDC teams regarding IT-related issues.
  • Overseeing Ticket Management, Ticket Triage, and Escalation processes.
  • Providing on-site infrastructure support and delivery.
  • Maintaining governance and security protocols on-site.
  • Collecting and managing business requirements for the factory/office.
  • Managing IT Build project initiatives.
  • Offering first-line support and governance for applications.
  • Ensuring operational management of IT/OT Cybersecurity for OT assets.
  • Responding promptly to cybersecurity emergencies.
  • Planning and managing the IT budget and cost control for the factory/site.
  • Ensuring machine connectivity with core network switches.
  • Coordinating specific applications and vendor management for software and network connectivity.
  • Facilitating access to relevant applications for the factory or Hitachi Energy site.
  • Ensuring that the area of responsibility is organized, staffed, skilled, and directed in collaboration with HR.
  • Guiding, motivating, and developing both direct and indirect reports in line with HR policies for mutual benefit.
  • Working full-time on-site at the assigned factory or location.
  • Embodying Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity, which entails taking responsibility for your actions while prioritizing the well-being of colleagues and the business.

Your Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred, or a minimum of 10 years of experience in Information Systems.
  • Must possess work authorization allowing employment with Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • At least 5 years of prior experience in IT.
  • Proficient in English communication skills, along with good local language proficiency in the primary country of responsibility.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in managing complex global projects.
  • Experience in process management, business process improvement, or value stream mapping is essential.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing operations methods, processes, and change management is advantageous.
  • Experience in navigating complex stakeholder scenarios and cross-functional problem-solving, with a solid understanding of IT procedures and policies, as well as end-to-end business processes.
  • Flexibility to manage multiple shifts of IT resources within a factory setting.
