Core Responsibilities:

As the Site IT Solutions Specialist, you will be tasked with developing and implementing tailored IT services that align with business needs. You will collaborate closely with Site Business Unit leaders, application owners, and IT stakeholders to address IT-related challenges.

Your role encompasses the management of IT infrastructure and applications, along with overseeing Ticket Management and Escalation processes. You will serve as the primary escalation point and will be accountable for maintaining strong business relationships regarding IT service performance. Additionally, you will gather and prioritize requests for new and enhanced IT services to ensure high levels of business satisfaction.

In this capacity, you will lead a team of IT professionals at the site, manage vendor partnerships, and ensure adherence to service delivery protocols to meet organizational goals.

Key Duties Include:

  • Leading the local IT team at the factory or Hitachi Energy site.
  • Acting as the liaison for IT suppliers and central teams on IT matters.
  • Overseeing Ticket Management, including triage and escalation processes.
  • Providing on-site infrastructure support and delivery.
  • Ensuring governance and security measures are upheld at the site.
  • Collecting and managing business requirements for IT services.
  • Managing IT project implementations effectively.
  • Offering first-line support and governance for applications.
  • Overseeing IT/OT Cybersecurity operations and responding to emergencies.
  • Planning and managing the IT budget and cost control for the site.
  • Ensuring machine connectivity with core network switches.
  • Coordinating with vendors on software and network connectivity.
  • Facilitating access to necessary applications for the site.
  • Ensuring proper organization, staffing, and development of the team in collaboration with HR.
  • Motivating and guiding team members in line with HR policies.
  • Working full-time on-site at the assigned factory.
  • Embodying Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred, or a minimum of 10 years of experience in Information Systems.
  • Must possess work authorization to be employed by Hitachi Energy in the United States.
  • At least 5 years of prior experience in IT roles.
  • Fluent in English with proficiency in the local language relevant to the site.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing complex global projects.
  • Experience in process management and business process improvement is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing operations and change management is a plus.
  • Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and solve cross-functional problems.
  • Flexibility to manage multiple shifts of IT personnel in a factory setting.
