Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Reliability Manager plays a pivotal role in leading and overseeing reliability management initiatives that assess and optimize equipment, components, and processes through methodologies aligned with Strategic Asset Management. This position ensures that personnel, resources, and methods are aligned with the essential objectives for reliability in machinery and equipment design standards, as well as operational targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintenance Management:

  • Establishes strategic maintenance objectives and leads monthly reviews to track progress.
  • Oversees the development and maintenance of the Strategic Asset Management Plan.
  • Acts as the business owner for the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
  • Directs analytical processes to implement predictive maintenance strategies.
  • Standardizes maintenance procedures and performance metrics while creating role descriptions for staffing.
  • Implements and supports the CMMS to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Leads and mentors a team of reliability and automation engineers to support the manufacturing asset fleet.
  • Develops and manages the Maintenance Skills Training program.
  • Coordinates maintenance technician workforce planning.
  • Maintains the Maintenance SharePoint site for organizational efficiency.

Capital Project Oversight:

  • Leads analysis and findings related to improvements and benefits from major capital projects.
  • Participates in new equipment acquisitions and rebuilds, ensuring compliance with maintenance protocols.

Support for Manufacturing Excellence:

  • Provides technical guidance for modifications and development of new manufacturing processes.
  • Oversees specifications for mobile equipment and compliance with industry standards.
  • Champions cost reduction initiatives and collaborates with management on implementation.
  • Maintains awareness of current manufacturing technologies to support company initiatives.

Safety Compliance:

  • Ensures adherence to safety certifications for equipment and materials.
  • Acts as a safety advocate for the development and modification of safety procedures.
  • Collaborates with health and safety management to address incident reports and analyses.
Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology, or 20 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 10 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Experience in manufacturing engineering.
  • Proven track record in managing significant projects exceeding $5M.
  • Familiarity with equipment schematics and documentation, including electrical and hydraulic diagrams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of company products and the Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB) sector.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project.
  • Understanding of Reliability Centered Maintenance and Lean methodologies.
  • Ability to create written procedures and specifications.
  • Strong leadership and process management skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
