Position Overview
We are seeking a Security Operations Engineer to bolster the security and operational efficiency of our software offerings. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with our development and implementation teams, supporting key clients and ensuring our services meet stringent security and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee security protocols across all platforms to avert unauthorized access.
  • Monitor and respond to security threats in real-time.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Data Leadership to refine security strategies.
  • Lead and engage in significant technical projects aimed at enhancing security.
  • Proactively identify and rectify security vulnerabilities.
  • Respond swiftly to security incidents, conduct analyses, and prepare incident reports.
  • Integrate security measures during the development phase (CI/CD) and assist in compliance audits for relevant standards.
  • Investigate and implement advanced security tools and frameworks.
  • Foster a culture of security awareness within the team.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a DevSecOps engineer with a strong foundation in network security, including Firewalls, WAF, IDP, and application security.
  • Proficient in SIEM, Log Aggregation, Vulnerability Management, and Security Monitoring Tools.
  • 2-3 years of experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and tools, including Terraform.
  • Solid understanding of Web Servers, Networking, Load Balancers, and Nginx.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or Python.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of SOC 2 and HIPAA compliance.
  • Experience in developing server-side applications, particularly with NodeJS.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk and NewRelic.
