Job Summary:

As a Respiratory Care Practitioner III at Bon Secours, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the well-being of our communities. This position involves assessing, planning, intervening, educating, and evaluating patients to deliver high-quality respiratory care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical instruction and training to staff and students, fostering a culture of excellence and expertise.
  • Support clinical learning through mentorship and practice evaluation, ensuring that our team members are equipped to deliver top-notch care.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and design programs for measurable outcomes, driving continuous improvement and excellence in patient care.
  • Conduct data collection, maintain records, and evaluate equipment to ensure that our facilities are equipped to provide the best possible care.
  • Participate in councils and committees, contributing to the development of policies and procedures that promote exceptional patient care.
  • Act as the shift Charge Therapist, ensuring adequate staffing levels and coverage to meet the needs of our patients.
  • Assist physicians with various procedures, working collaboratively to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Perform CPR and airway management techniques, responding to emergencies with confidence and expertise.
  • Conduct prescribed therapeutic procedures and maintain patient airways, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care.
  • Evaluate blood and urine lab values, using data to inform treatment decisions and improve patient outcomes.
  • Maintain equipment and respond to emergencies, ensuring that our facilities are equipped to handle any situation.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Care school (required)
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in related fields (preferred)
Licenses and Certifications:
  • Current Respiratory Care License
  • NBRC credential, RRT, BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications (required)
  • NRP, CPFT, RPFT, ACCS certifications (preferred)
Experience:

Minimum two years as a Registered Respiratory Therapist in various clinical settings, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional patient care.

Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse individuals.
  • Good customer service, organizational, and time management skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care.
  • Accountability, data interpretation, and feedback reception, with a commitment to continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Knowledge of respiratory therapy equipment and procedures, with a focus on staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in the field.
Training:
  • EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training (preferred)
