About the Role

As a Consumer Direct Home Loan Consultant at Ruoff Mortgage Company Inc, you will be the primary company representative to our online community. This position facilitates individual applications and acts as a liaison between processing, underwriting, closing and the borrower.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Make sales calls on potential or existing customers to develop new business or retain existing business, including weekly distribution of rates and programs to clients.
  • Customer Interaction: Responsible for the overall customer interaction and interface with all parties involved on each individual loan that is originated from application to closing, including counseling and prequalifying potential home buyers, taking complete and accurate applications, and obtaining all necessary support documents.
  • Loan Process Management: Oversee the loan process by monitoring loan status and ensuring conformity with terms, assisting in collecting additional documents, and promptly communicating loan status to all interested parties.
  • Compliance and Security: Assure complete application process is completed in compliance with company policies and guidelines, and maintain a professional image and standards consistent with company policies and procedures.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay informed of trends and developments in the real estate market and the competitive environment, as well as the changing rules and regulations pertaining to both private and government-insured mortgages.
Requirements
  • Experience: Strong sales experience with demonstrated potential to transfer skills to mortgage origination, experience converting leads and in-bound calls, and a Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, statistics or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Training and Certification: Employee must remain current on any and all applicable registration, licensing and training obligations required under the SAFE Act and/or any other state, federal or local laws pertaining to Loan Officer Certification or standards.

  • Self-Motivation and Enthusiasm: Must be self-motivated and enthusiastic to obtain personal and company goals.
  • Analytical Skills: Good analytical skills necessary to evaluate credit requests and determine trends in a given marketplace.
  • Communication and Decision-Making: Must be comfortable working with the public, and able to make good decisions and meet deadlines.
  • Writing and Reporting: Ability to write accurate reports and documents; holds self to a high level of quality.
