About the Role

As a Home Loan Consultant at Ruoff Mortgage Company Inc, you will be the primary company representative to our online community. This position facilitates individual applications and acts as a liaison between processing, underwriting, closing and the borrower.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Business Development: Make sales calls on potential or existing customers, as assigned, to develop new business or retain existing business, including weekly distribution of rates and programs to clients.
  • Customer Interaction: Responsible for the overall customer interaction and interface with all parties involved on each individual loan that is originated from application to closing, including counseling and prequalifying potential home buyers, taking complete and accurate applications, obtaining all necessary support documents, and overseeing the loan process.
  • Compliance and Quality: Assure complete application process is completed in compliance with company policies and guidelines.
  • Market Knowledge: Stay informed of trends and developments in the real estate market and the competitive environment, as well as the changing rules and regulations pertaining to both private and government-insured mortgages.
  • Professional Image: Maintain a professional image and standards consistent with company policies and procedures.
  • Confidentiality: Responsible for a high level of confidentiality and security while handling personal information; verbal and/or written documentation.
Requirements
  • Experience: Strong sales experience with demonstrated potential to transfer skills to mortgage origination.
  • Training: Experience converting leads and in-bound calls.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, statistics or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Licensure: Employee must remain current on any and all applicable registration, licensing and training obligations required under the SAFE Act and/or any other state, federal or local laws pertaining to Loan Officer Certification or standards.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Self-Motivation: Must be self-motivated and enthusiastic to obtain personal and company goals.
  • Loan Officer Licensure: Employee must at all times be able to meet any and all applicable qualifications and standards required for Loan Officer Licensure under the SAFE Act.
  • Analytical Skills: Good analytical skills necessary to evaluate credit requests and determine trends in a given marketplace.
  • Communication Skills: Must be comfortable working with the public, and able to make good decisions and meet deadlines.
  • Writing Skills: Ability to write accurate reports and documents; holds self to a high level of quality.
