  • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs and policies within our manufacturing facility.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to cultivate a safety-first culture and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promote safety awareness and cultivate the company's safety culture.
  • Onboard and orient all employees to the company's safety policies, programs, and other practices.
  • Interact constantly with supervisors and team leaders to ensure an open line of communication for effective safety management and engagement of personnel.
  • Conduct comprehensive on-site safety assessments as part of a constant monitoring process and ensure project teams make all necessary corrections.
  • Complete accident investigations, as needed; and assist supervision with the completion of accident reports.
  • Establish and maintain safety records and documentation, including accident reports, safety training records, and safety inspection reports.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in safety management, preferably in an industrial manufacturing setting, and a proven track record of success in developing and implementing safety programs.
  • Professional certifications: OSHA 500 and/or any recognized BCSP certification (GSP, ASP, STS, OHST, CIT, SMS) are a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of and ability to enforce all federal, state, local, and company regulations.
  • Ability to recognize hazardous situations and implement corrective measures.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
